Introvert OS: The User Manual
As heard at Google Salesforce Jellyfish Egg Evolving HR
In the performance review

"You need to speak up more."

You had the answer. The insight. The solution. You just needed thirty seconds longer than the room allowed. Without the language to explain that, it gets filed as a confidence problem - and costs you the promotion.

At home

They think you're pulling away.

You go quiet because your brain needs to process. Your partner reads it as withdrawal. Without the words to explain what's actually happening, they fill the gap with their own interpretation. Every time.

Inside your own head

Decades of assuming it's a you problem.

Andrew spent over thirty years at a large American company performing extroversion. His results were never the issue. There was just something unnamed that leadership could sense - and he couldn't fix it because nobody could tell him what it actually was.

What readers say

The User Manual, in their words.

From people who spent years - sometimes decades - without this framework.

Sound familiar?

You've been managing this without a framework.

  • You had the answer in the meeting. It arrived thirty seconds after the moment passed.
  • You rehearse conversations before you have them - and still get blindsided when someone asks you something live.
  • You feel guilty about needing to be alone - for something your brain literally requires.
  • You've been told you're "hard to read" or "too quiet" and had nothing to push back with.
  • You've tried to explain yourself to a partner or manager and it landed completely wrong.

Without the language. Without the framework. And nobody knows what it costs you.

The cost of going without it

56 years is a long time to pay the extrovert tax.

It costs you the explanation you never gave your partner - so they filled the gap with their own interpretation. The promotion that went to someone louder. The "too quiet" feedback in your review that you couldn't argue against because you had no framework to push back from.

Andrew spent over thirty years at a large American company performing extroversion. His results were never the issue. Reading the User Manual was the first time he had language for what had been quietly costing him for decades. He said he needed it 25 years ago.

Your brain processes experience more deeply than the situation often seems to warrant. There is a structural basis for this - in the regions associated with self-reflection and long-term thinking. Your nervous system operates at a higher baseline. When external stimulation hits, you're getting overloaded. That wiring is not the problem. Going without the instructions for it is.

This is for you if

You recognise yourself in at least one of these:

  • You go quiet and don't know how to explain it afterwards - so it gets misread as disengagement or coldness
  • You're succeeding at things that are quietly hollowing you out
  • You've received "too quiet" or "hard to read" feedback and had no language to respond with
  • You've spent years assuming the way you work is a problem to be managed
  • You've tried to explain yourself to a partner or manager and it came out completely wrong
  • You feel guilty about needing to recover alone - for something your brain literally requires

This is not for you if

  • You want scripts to memorise or a programme to become more extroverted
  • You're looking for productivity hacks or a quick fix
  • You already have the language and understanding you need
What's inside

Three parts.

Everything you've been missing.

From the biology to the patterns to the exact language for the moments that cost introverts the most - structured to take you from confusion to clarity in one sitting.

01

Why your brain works this way

The neuroscience behind how you process, recover, and respond. Why overstimulation is biological. Why the signal is always deafening when something is misaligned. Every claim peer-reviewed and fully referenced. This is the section people read and feel their shoulders drop for the first time in years.

02

Why you do what you do

Processing time. Going quiet. Preferring written communication. Sensitivity to noise and interruption. You've been calling these character flaws for years - and they've been costing you in how others read you. This section maps every one back to the biology, so you can stop.

03

What to say when it matters

Practical language for the moments that cost introverts the most. Being put on the spot. Explaining why you went quiet. Pushing back on "too quiet" in a performance review. Asking for alone time without guilt. Structures you can adapt in your own words - for your partner, your manager, your team.

The User Manual is what I wish had existed the day I first started asking what was wrong with me.

While working on a project at Google - collaborating with over 5,000 professionals and 800 organisations across 169 countries - I spotted a pattern. Introverts worldwide were struggling with imposter syndrome, limiting beliefs, and the private conviction that they were somehow not enough. These had all been my own struggles, but I'd always assumed they were a me thing.

Seeing the same pattern play out on a global scale sent me down a rabbit hole of research. That's when I truly understood my introversion for the first time - and discovered just how much the systemic bias towards extroversion costs introverts in the workplace and beyond.

I've since spoken at Salesforce, Jellyfish and multiple conferences and online summits. I write a weekly neuroscience-backed newsletter to over 500 subscribers with a 50%+ open rate, and share daily content to 13.1k followers on Threads. The research became my mission. The User Manual is the result.

Still on the fence?

When will I receive it?

As soon as your order is confirmed, the PDF download link goes to your inbox. No account, no login, no expiry. It's yours immediately.

Is this a course?

No. A PDF you read at your own pace. No modules, no login, no platform. Read it in one sitting or go straight to the section you need most right now - the language frameworks in Part 3 are standalone.

I've read about introversion before. Why is this different?

Most content tells you introversion is valid and stops there. This gives you the specific biology behind why you work the way you do, and practical language for the real moments it costs you - including exactly what to say when your manager tells you you're "too quiet" or your partner says you're pulling away.

Can I share it?

It's licensed for personal use. A companion guide for partners and family members is in development.
